Beckwourth Frontier Days Scaled Back

The Beckwourth Frontier Days, Inc. Board of Directors has announced a modification of the 2001 Beckwourth Frontier Days, a living history festival and the 2001 Time Trek field trip for fourth & fifth graders.

Beckwourth Frontier Days, Inc., the Marysville Business Improvement District and the City of Marysville will present a Western Days Celebration this Oct. 6th & 7th, 2001 in downtown Marysville and a 3 day covered wagon time trek Oct. 2nd thru the 5th traveling from Oroville, CA. to Marysville, CA. This is an experience everyone should have!

This modification was based on several factors, most importantly a desire to put the most resources possible toward the 2002 time trek and festival, which will commemorate the 151st anniversary of the arrival of the first wagon train in Marysville.

  • For information on this year's Western Days Event, call Kathy Fetty at 530-743-4555 or 743-5345
  • For information on this year's Wagon Train trip call Duane Stueve at 530-682-9174 or Sabrat at 530-682-9223.

We appreciate your continued interest in Beckwourth Frontier Days and invite you to participate in the 2002 special celebration of the 151st anniversary of Jim Beckwourth's triumphant arrival in Marysville, the gateway to the gold fields.

Sincerely,

Beckwourth Frontier Days, Inc.
